The Youth Grants WA program was established by the State Government to provide funding support for activities that encourage youth participation and the provision of services and facilities for young people.
Applications should address one or more of the following priority areas:

Promoting the development of young people's personal and leadership skills.

Promoting positive mental and emotional health.

Increasing the awareness of drug and/or alcohol issues.
-
Recognising and celebrating the achievements of young people and the contributions they make to their community.
-
Promoting the importance of physical activity.
-
Building resilience in individuals, groups, families and communities.
Youth Development Holiday Program
The Youth Development Holiday Program provides funding for community organisations to conduct activities for young people of secondary school age, only during school holiday periods. Click here for the guidelines and application form.
Applications are closed for 2009.
Small Grants
Grants of up to $5,000 are offered to eligible community organisations to develop projects which encourage the participation of young people in innovative and challenging community projects and activities, and for the development of services and facilities which will achieve these outcomes. Projects must benefit young people between the ages of 12 and 25 years.

Youth Grants WA Program – Sponsorships and Special Project Grants 2009-10
The Department for Communities' Office for Youth is seeking applications from incorporated, not-for-profit organisations and Local Government authorities for the following grants:
Sponsorships of up to $10 000 –sponsorships will be offered for projects that benefit young people between the ages of 12 and 25 years involving major events, seminars/training and development of education/resource materials.
Special Project Grants of up to $35 000 –special project grants will be offered for 12–month projects that address particular themes or link with the priorities in the youth portfolio, which are targeted for the benefit of young people between the ages of 12 and 25 years and/or the youth sector more generally.
